Brian is a graduate of Sonoma State University in 2004 where he studied biomechanics and exercise physiology, and is finishing an M.S. in exercise physiology and biomechanics at San Francisco State University . He is certified as a Muscle Activation Therapist and Strength and Conditioning Specialist.
Brian has a diverse background having come from working with people with extremely limited function as a physical therapy aid and project manager for 4 years at Emeryville Sports Physical Therapy to working with elite athletes for 2 years at Velocity Sports Performance. From there he studied with some of the top professionals in the country, studying exercise biomechanics from Tom Purvis and Muscle Activation Techniques under Greg Roskopf and Matt Bernier. Using the combination of techniques learned in these capacities as well as his extensive personal studies in biomechanics and human performance, his goal is to accurately assess clients’ current status and their goals, then create an action plan to achieve those goals that is based on steady, appropriate progression. The goal is to consistently push YOUR limit, without going beyond it, to achieve maximal results in each workout.
Brian personally trains for marathons, bike races and triathalons. In his spare time, he enjoys snow boarding, wake boarding, tennis, squash and other sports. He was an all league junior college baseball player and played on scholarship at Sonoma State University in 2004 until sustaining a career ending injury.
